This is a must watch. “What are you watching that for??” was my husband’s response when he saw me watching it. And I expect it will be many people’s initial reaction - what a morbid thing to watch! Except, it’s not morbid, it’s necessary. We really need to talk more about death in our society.This wasn’t just ‘a day in the life of’ type of documentary. Stacey Dooley provided an insightful look into death and dying, and facing her own fear of death. Looking into all aspects of the undertaking process it also including planning (and paying) for your own funeral and having these conversations with loved ones. This documentary opens the door on to what happens when you die, and is so respectfully done, it really helps to normalise death and dying. And that is so important in our society. That’s why I’m recommending everyone watch this. We put off talking about death as we don’t want to even think about not being here. But the reality is that it’s inevitable.
