DiSC Personality profiles provides a simple way to measure human behavior. The foundation of the DiSC model was originally created by William Moulton Marston in 1928 when he first wrote the book, Emotions of Normal People. In his book, Marston identified four primary emotions in people.

DiSC Profile Explained: Two Dimensional Model
The DiSC personality model is a two-dimensional model. It assesses your outward energy level. You demonstrate characteristics of being fast-paced or moderate paced; and skeptical or accepting. Those measuring at the top of the dimension (fast-paced) tend to be more outspoken and assertive. Those measuring at the bottom of the dimension (moderate-paced) use less outward energy, internalizes more than others, and tend to be thoughtful.
The second dimension determines if an individual is skeptical or accepting. People whose DiSC personality dot lies within the skeptical dimensions are often more cynical and challenging when engaging and communicating with others. As a result of their questioning nature, they are more questioning than others before moving forward. Individual's whose dot placement falls in the accepting area of the DiSC model are more trusting and receptive of others. The trusting and receptive nature will be demonstrated in their ability to be friendly and show empathy to strangers.
DiSC Profile Explained: Four DiSC Quadrants
The two dimensional model of DiSC creates four DiSC quadrant which is what most people refer to as the DiSC personality model. The model consists of D (Dominance), i (Influence), S (Steadiness), and C (Conscientiousness). These four quadrants describe the style typical personality style of participants. When people say that they are a D, or an I, they are specifically referring to the four quadrants of DiSC profiles.

So we learned about the two dimensional models in tip one. The DiSC model allows us to assess an individuals personality based on twelve segments, rather than simply using the four DiSC quadrants. Breaking an individuals assessment result further using the twelve Everything DiSC personality styles allows us to have more precise results and a better understanding of an individuals behavioral tendencies.
