Nitecore is launching a new keychain flashlight called the Tini 3. It can be charged via USB-C and features a small display, which is useful due to the many different settings including one for the light temperature that can be adjusted between 3000 and 6500 Kelvin.

Accessory Gadget

Nitecore has released a particularly compact flashlight named the Tini 3. It’s just barely larger than a thumb and designed to be carried on a keychain. Nevertheless, Nitecore has included an OLED display as well as two slightly recessed control buttons on the top.

Nitecore uses the aforementioned OLED screen to display status information. For instance, it can show different light modes before or during operation. Another example are the selectable brightness levels of 1, 15, 60 and 200 lumens. 600 lumens can be activated by continuously pressing the top button.

The display also shows the remaining battery life. At 1 lumen, the Nitecore flashlight supposedly lasts 85 hours. There is no official runtime for the Turbo mode with 98 yards of throw, but the display indicated that it can be used for less than 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the highest continuous mode with 200 lumens and 61 yards lasts for an hour.

For the first time, Nitecore is utilizing multi-color temperature technology in one of its regular flashlights. Thus far, MCT has only been used in headlamps like the NU27 and HA23 UHE. Nitecore has implemented two warm and two cool LEDs, so temperatures of 3000, 4500 and 6500 Kelvin can be selected via the buttons. The neutral white 4500K mode uses all four LEDs, but the brightness is not affected by this. Conveniently, the OLED display also shows the current color temperature and uses the terms cool, neutral and warm.

The Nitecore Tini 3 is shipping now and first deliveries should arrive in the next few days and weeks. The flashlight is officially priced at $40 excluding shipping at the brand's official online store.
