More Target stores will get an Ulta Beauty shop added in 2022.
The retailer exclusively shared with USA TODAY Monday that it plans to open 250-plus additional small beauty shops inside its stores this year after opening 101 locations and an online storesince August 2021.
Target did not release a list of the upcoming locations but said stores that have added the Ulta shops haveseen increased traffic, awareness and loyalty.
“With these strong results, we remain committed to operating at least 800 Ulta Beauty at Target locations over time,” Christina Hennington, Target executive vice president and chief growth officer, said in a statement.

The Ulta expansion news comes ahead of Target's quarterly earnings Tuesday where the retailer will release its 2021 financial results and sales performance from the holiday season.
Target also announced Monday that it has a new starting wage range, which is $15 to $24 and depends on location.
Last week ahead of earnings, Target unveiled that it will start testing two upgrades to its Drive Up service: the ability to add Starbucks items to online pickup ordersand to complete store returns curbside.
Beauty partnerships also growing with Kohl's and Sephora
In mid-February, Kohl's unveiled the list of its 400 stores that will get a Sephora beauty shop added to them in 2022, which is similar to Target's Ulta partnership. (See the list of Kohl's stores getting a Sephora beauty shop in 2022 here. And learn more about Sephora at Kohl's beauty shops here.)
The Ulta-Target shops are approximately 1,000 square feet and locatednext to the existing beauty sections at Target. They have more than 50 "specially curated prestige brands."

Target Circle:With a Target RedCard, you can get free shipping and get 5% off Ulta purchases.Shoppers without a RedCard can earn 1% back on Ulta purchases with Target Circle and can redeem the earnings on Ulta purchases, too. There areother perks of Target Circlesuch as hundreds of Circle offers ranging from 5% to 50% offin categoriessuch as groceries, clothes, furniture, baby products, health, seasonal and more.
Ultamate Rewards:Members at the lowest tierearn one point per dollar spent on Ulta products and services while Platinum and Diamond members earn points at an accelerated rate (1.25 points and 1.5 points, respectively). But while you can earn points on purchases at Target, you cannot redeem points at Target.
Use together:Once linked, every time you shop at Ulta at Target, use with Target Circle in-store or online to earn points on applicablepurchases.You'll earn points with Ultamate Rewards and 1% back with Target Circle unless you're using a RedCard and will save 5% instead.For Ulta at Target purchases, points on in-store purchases will be credited to your account within 24 hours of your purchase, and online purchasepoints will be credited within 72 hours after your order has shipped.
Birthday gifts:Through Target Circle, you can get 5% off a storewide purchase if you include your birth date in your Target account. However,Ulta purchases are among the items excluded from the discount, which isvalid for 30 days.Also, you won’t be able to redeem your Ulta birthday gift, $10 birthday coupon, or Diamond Welcome gift at Ulta Beauty at Target.
Shopping tip:Read the fine print.You can't earn bonus points (including the two-times birthday bonus points and Ultamate Rewards Credit Card two-times points) or redeem your Ultamate Rewards points at Ulta Beauty at Target.Also, not all Ulta promotions will be available at Target butUltamate Rewards Mastercard holders will earn onepoint for every $3 spent at Ulta products at Target.
