Before your steps count to this trophy you have to collect the Pedometer. This can be found in cave 7 - Chasm Cave. There is only 1 entrance in the north-west of the map. When you enter the gap follow the way and break the wooden planks. When you come to the first big chasm climb all the way down. After a few steps you can see a body kneeing in the water where you can pick up the Pedometer. From now on simply walk 50,000 steps.

You can use a rubber band to lock and another to lock . Now you walk in a small circle infinitely. With this method it will takearound 4-5 hours. Keep in mind that you can do this method only in creative mode or you will die of hunger or freezing.
