Well, I’m new to the dip scene, though I’m sure my husband would say I’m a little dip. Seven layers. Acidic Cream. Coach, put me in, I’m ready to play! drift boss

I agree with those who say Zendaya did a great job in her episode. I’m not a huge fan of Euphoria, but just that fifth episode is better than what Lynskey got all season. In the first scene, Zendaya is scary good, showing a side of addiction that I had never seen shown so openly before. If she won for season 1 even though she wasn’t the favorite, I think she’ll win again for her best work yet.

A constructive criticism: Your recipes look great, but the tab on the left with “Pintres, Facebook, etc.” is very annoying & covers part of anything that is in that area which makes it difficult to read.

Love this stuff! I made something similar for a work afternoon tea. There were leftovers (which I was thankful for!) so I ate it for lunch until it was gone. I think it’s healthy, it’s got all the food groups (veg, dairy, protein, etc)! Yum.

I’ve never actually eaten this dip but it looks delicious and I’ve seen it in the deli section at some grocery stores. You mention heating the beans until they are soft and bubbly and assembling everything while it’s hot. I’m wondering if this can be made in advance? The beans would get cold, but I guess it would be like the store bought version. Can you eat this dip cold??

    • Michelle Reply

Hi Grace, I’ve done this! I definitely like it best warm/fresh, but it’s still good after being chilled. If you do so, I would make sure that you completely cover the avocado layer with sour cream so that it doesn’t brown.

I was just thinking about this dip this morning! Glad to see you used a pie pan for serving, I have seen recipes where they use a deep bowl, and all I can think is: pretty, but I can’t get to everything – fail! I must make this soon!!

I’ve made a dip for years that combines refried beans and ground beef along with chili powder and cumin. I often use that as the base for this dip. It’s delicious both ways! This will be served for the Super Bowl — maybe along with an avocado shrimp salsa.
