If you’re currently using a non-activated version of Windows 10 Pro that was upgraded from an illegally activated version, it is technically not legal. Even if it’s not currently activated, the upgrade process likely used an illegal product key.
To make your system legal, you would need to purchase a genuine product key from Microsoft or an authorized retailer. Here are the steps you need to follow:
Go to the Microsoft Store or any authorized retailer and purchase a genuine Windows 10 Pro product key. Make sure to buy it from a reputable source to ensure it’s legitimate.
Once you have your product key, press the Windows key + I to open Settings.
Click on ‘Update & Security’, then choose ‘Activation’ from the left-hand menu.
Click on ‘Change product key’, and then enter your new, genuine product key.
Follow the prompts to complete the activation process.
After these steps, your Windows 10 Pro should be activated and legal.
