Overview
Nocturnus (formerly known as DIO's The World) (DTW) is a non-canon Stand inspired by The World - DIO's Stand featured in Stardust Crusaders (Part 3).
Nocturnus is a powerful, close-medium ranged stand. Despite its mediocre health, its damage makes up for it, which gives it an edge against stands that rely on their high health.
It is capable of dealing heavy damage towards enemy Stands with large healthpools. Despite being a variant of The World, Nocturnus cannot stop time and cannot move in stopped-time.
Nocturnus's thematic counterpart is Sol.
Appearance
- (Older Appearance) DIO’s The World resembles The World, but different color scheme. DIO’s The World wears a helmet with neon/glowing red eyes, and another red eye on it, with a red shard on the top accompanied with grey stuff holding the shard, neon glowing red fins on the neck,
- (Old Appearance) DIO’s The World heavily resembled The World, with claws, neon textured red eyes and red accents. At one point, Nocturnus had a set of grey brambles on its chest, which was changed to a clock or stopwatch before its appearance was overhauled.
- (New Appearance) Nocturnus' resembles The World, though the colour scheme changes dramatically. Nocturnus' primary colour is black, with sharp fins on its back, puffed or ridged straps across its torso, a elongated, mouthless headpiece, shoulderpads and three claws on each hand. Nocturnus has a mix of neon/matte red accents and luminous, red eyes. Nocturnus has diamond or rhombus-shaped forms in lieu of the heart shapes found on The World.
NEW Universe Obtainment Method
Old Universe Obtainment Method + Full Craft (Old)
To obtain Nocturnus, the player will have to go to the DIO (NPC) in front of the Joestar Mansion. The player will receive a quest from him that needs the following requirements:
- Take DMG (0/5000)
- Deal DMG (0/5000)
- Defeat [Dio] (0/1)
Find and use a Cosmic Orb on Shadow DIO.
Full Craft
- Standless + Stand Arrow = Shadow Dio
- Shadow Dio + Blood of Joseph = The World
- The World + Evil Fragments = Nocturnus

Combos
- 3X M1 + E + S + T + R/F (Average)
- T + 3X M1 + F + W + E + W + R (Average)
- 3x M1 + E + T + 3x M1 + F + 4x M1 + R (Powerful, Hard)
- 4x M1 + E + (back up a little to gain the full potential dmg of the T move)+ T+ 4x M1+ F ( this combo is true, since Nocturnus' M1s almost has no knockback, meaning 4x m1 into any move {except T} is True)
