How pricing works for promoted Job Posts

Our pricing model allows you to set your own budget and gives you cost flexibility to match your hiring needs.*

*Promoting a job post is only available for select LinkedIn Jobs products. For those hiring at scale, get in touch with a product consultantfor contract options and pricing.

Promote your job post by setting a budget.

We’ll recommend a value based on the job title, location, and market activity that ensures your job post gets placed in a competitive spot. Whether you choose the self-serve option or our contract option to post your job, you get the final say in your budget.

The higher the budget, the more places your post will be promoted and the more visibility it will get across LinkedIn.

You won’t be charged for:

• Viewing your own job post

• Multiple views from the same person

• Views from people who are not signed in to LinkedIn

Important tip:Keep your job post open for at least 5 days to make sure you get enough qualified applicants before closing it out.

Choose how you want to budget for your job posts.

You can set either a total budget or a daily budget. Your job will be promoted for the duration you set and will automatically pause once you’ve spent your total budget amount.

Daily budget example:

If you set a $10 daily budget and run a job post for 30 days, your total cost will be $300 or less, depending on reach.

Total budget example:
If you set a $300 total budget, your job post will pause once the full $300 has been spent

Understanding pricing model.

For our self-serve option, the cost of each click comes from an algorithm that determines where your job is located and how many competing, similarly titled posts have been created within that market. The cost of each click (clicks and views are one and the same) is determined by dividing the total spend amount by the number of views the job has received.

If you do not choose self-serve, you can opt for a 6–12 month contract with the option to accrue charges per qualified click. Whether or not a click is qualified is based on the targeting criteria you set. Contact a product consultant to learn if this option is available to you.

Select billing options for promoted Job Posts.

Choose your job post charges. If you select our self-serve option, your job post charges will accrue daily and you can monitor your spend from your account. Your card will be charged within 48 hours of closing your job, 30 days from the day you posted if the job is still active, or as soon as you reach a $500 balance (USD specific). If you choose to sign a long-term contract with LinkedIn, we'll help you set a Jobs budget upfront for your hiring needs and you'll have the choice of a few billing options - up-front, quarterly or monthly.

Only pay for job views from candidates. You won’t be billed for views from LinkedIn employees or the person who posted the job. As a result, you might see a discrepancy in the number of views and the amount charged.
